Table of new addresses was geocoded using Centrus Geocoder for ArcGIS; personal geodatabase file created May 2007 Copy of 2006 dialysis layer was created as a temp version. May 2007 Facilities that had closed since last data update were deleted from temp file. May 2007 New addresses geocoded in previous step were appended to temp file. Table was joined to county boundary layer with a spatial join to check for correct county name provided in original data. Discrepencies were identified and corrected. May 2007 Personal geodatabase is exported to shape file. May 2007 Metadata for 2006 dialysis layer is exported to text. Process steps are added. May 2007 Shape file is copied from temporary workspace into facility directory located at DHSS as M:\GISDATA\FAcility. Shape file from 2006 is renamed from dialysis.shp to dialysis06.shp. File for 2007 is given the name dialysis.shp in its place. May 2007 Shape file is also copied into SDE for use in IMS sites. Excel file for 2008 received from Division of Regulation and Licensure. April 7, 2008 Excel file imported into Access. Records compared to 2007 list. New sites are put in separate file for processing. Access query is used to combine data from 2008 with the latitude/longitude previously collected. New table is created. April 7, 2008 File of new sites is processed in ArcMap with the Centrus Geocoder for ArcGIS. (There were 7.) Latitude and Longitude coordinates were copied into the new table created in the previous step. Table is used to generate XY events. This event layer was exported to a personal geodatabase file. April 7, 2008 Facilities with a centroid level match are researched using google.com. Positions are adjusted to a specific address. Facilities that are within hospitals are also moved to coincide with the locations of these points in the hospital level. April 7, 2008 Metadata from 2007 version of this layer edited for 2008.
