Critical Access Hospital locations
<purpose>General location of hospitals in Missouri designated as critical access. This layer is a subset of the hospital layer.</purpose>
<supplinf>"A critical access hospital is a small facility that gives limited outpatient and inpatient hospital services to people in rural areas." - definition from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid website. Critical access hospitals are a subset of the hospital layer.

Original Locations were created using Sagent Geocoding software.
Quality Control by Geographic Resources Center 8/11/2003 to refine locations provided by geocoding.

Hospitals defined as critical access from database provided by Missouri Dept of Health and Senior Services, Health Facility Regulation.

March 3, 2008 - There were no changes to the list of critical access hospitals between 2007 and 2008
