This page provides links to the FTP directory containing
county-wide, seamless, and hill-shaded mosaics of USGS 1:100,000
topographic maps.
These
have
been created using
National
Geographic's TOPO! and TOPO! GIS extension along with
the MrSID
compression software at the Geographic
Resources Center (GRC). This production has been made possible
through a special license agreement with National Geographic Maps
and Wildflower
Productions as part of an augmentation to the Lewis and Clark
Historic Landscape Project conducted at the GRC in cooperation
with
the Office of the Missouri
Secretary of State and the Missouri
State Archives.

These are not USGS DRG (digital raster graphic) files and should
not be confused with such although they do depict the same data. In
many cases, the maps used for these mosaics are newer updates than
those provided in the DRG file directory on the Missouri Spatial Data
Information Service (MSDIS) ftp site. The image resolution for these
files is 15 meters.
Select the county you
want from the drop down menu. Alternatively you can select it from
the clickable county map of Missouri.
NOTE: The three
files required to correctly georeference the TOPO maps are zipped
together into one file for faster download and you will need to
unzip
it. Please see the GZIP Help Page
if you are having trouble.
