MSDIS has removed GIS point data files relating to public drinking
water from the public domain due to security concerns expressed by
Missouri Department of Natural Resources. DNR are not restrictring
access in any manner that would prevent its use for legitimate reasons
and therefore the files are a still
available from CARES (http://drinkingwater.missouri.edu) on a by request
basis.

The datasets no longer in the public domain include: public
wells, surface water intakes (including river and
impoundment
intakes,
drinking
water springs, water storage tanks, water treatment plants, and
pumping stations.
